Orders & licences
Publisher licence · unlimited
Your account is the publisher's. This licence unlocks everything: full and deep scans, larger saves and all the advanced tools, on up to 5 computers, with updates for 50 years.
How to activate your licence
It takes about a minute, once per computer. You need Frame Witness installed and this page open.
- Open Frame Witness and select LicenceThe Licence button is at the top right of the main window.
- Select Generate and copy codeA code appears and is copied. It identifies this computer and this Windows user; it is not a password and is safe to paste here. The same code works for a licence, the free quick scan and the free trial.
- Paste the code here and download the fileUnder your order below, paste the code and select Activate device · download licence. A file named FrameWitness.fwlicense is saved, usually in Downloads.
- Back in Frame Witness, select Import signed licenceChoose the downloaded file. The top of the window then shows LICENSED, and full scans are available.
Something not working?
- The file is refused: it was made for another computer or Windows user. Generate the code again on the computer you are using and repeat step 3.
- Device limit reached: each plan covers a fixed number of computers (Professional 1, Lab 3, Organization 5). Contact support to move a licence to a new computer.
- Activating the same computer again gives you the same file and does not use another place.
- No internet on the workstation? Generate the code there, activate from any other device, and copy the file across.
Your orders
Start your 3-day free trial
Full and deep scans of the whole source, every result, larger saves and all the advanced tools, for 3 days. Once per person and per computer, no payment details. Afterwards the free quick scan stays available; a licence keeps everything.
The code identifies this Windows installation and, as one-way hashes, this computer. While the trial runs, Frame Witness renews its trial file online about twice a day. How the trial uses these codes.
Free quick scan
Your free account includes a quick scan on up to two computers: photos and videos in the first 8 GiB of the source, up to 100 results, previews and saving files up to 1 MiB. Follow the same steps as above, pasting the code here instead.
